Idaho Suicide Prevention Hotline 1-800-273-8255 (TALK)

Starting Monday, November 26th callers will be able to reach the hotline's local volunteer counselors. The hotline will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday - Thursdays. It will include a special line for veterans in crisis.

Better Choices, Better Health® - Diabetes

With support from sanofi, NCOA is making our online Better Choices, Better Health® – Diabetes workshop free on a first-come, first-served basis to any U.S. resident over 18 with diabetes. The six-week workshop has been proven to help people with diabetes learn to live healthier. This is a limited opportunity so sign up today.

Fit and Fall Proof™

Fit and Fall Proof is an exercise-based fall prevention program.  Attendance at classes two to three times per week enables older adults to:

  • Maintain an independent, freely functioning life-style

  • Achieve gains in flexibility, enabling older adults to reach and to bend

  • Improve muscular strength

  • Increase balance and posture

  • Improve mobility, endurance, and walking gait

Over Sixty and Getting Fit

This low cost one-credit class, sponsored by the College of Southern Idaho provides the following benefits:

  • Improves all aspects of cardiovascular functioning

  • Impacts maintenance of independence in old age

  • Helps preserve and restore flexibility

  • Improves strength, balance and posture
