Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP)
The Senior Community Service Employment Program helps low-income, unemployed seniors build occupational skills through training, as well as actual work experience, and to compete successfully for available jobs.
Participants in this program are provided with a case manager who will assist them in the development of an employment plan. The person is then placed at a non-profit or government agency where they will provide the participant with training. During the training the person will receive subsidized wages and after a period will be required to transition into unsubsidized employment.
